On May 29th, Takimoto will host an outdoor market and live show to bring interested/interesting folk together in support of Tohoku relief efforts. We hope this can be a good chance for people to meet, to make new connections, and to enjoy each other’s music, art and company in Takimoto’s unique natural space at the foot of Mt. Hinode.**Access to Takimoto: Address: 東京都西多摩郡日の出町大久野4807 4807 Oguno, Hinode-machi, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo
By bus: Take the bus outside of Musashi Itsukaichi Station (武蔵五日市駅—the last stop on the JR Musashi Itsukaichi Line) bound for Tsurutsuru Onsen (つるつる温泉行き) to either the Matsuo (松尾) or final Tsurutsuru Onsen stop. Total bus time is about 25 minutes and 340 yen. From there, Takimoto is about a 15 minute walk up the Mt. Hinode hiking road(日の出登山道 “Hinode Tozandou”).
By car: Get off at the Hinode Exit (日の出インター) on the Ken-O Expressway (圏央道), make a left at the かやくぼ“Kayakubo” intersection, make a right at つるつる温泉入口 “Tsurutsuru Onsen Ireguchi”. A ten minute ride up the mountain, and take a left at where the road forks before Tsurutsuru Onsen. Take the cedar-lined Hinode “tozandou” hiking road about a kilometer up to where it stops…and you’re at Takimoto.
*Takimoto Market: The Takimoto Market is a venue for any homemade goods (arts, crafts, teas, soaps, farm produce, etc.) that you would like to show, sell or trade at the event. There is no entrance fee for this event, but we ask that anyone participating in the market make a 20% contribution of profits to the event’s Tohoku relief fund. Collected funds will go to immediate aid through NGO Peace Boat’s volunteer efforts on the ground in Ishinomaki City
