I've decided, with the help of Jamie Dwyer and Hazuki Yasuhara , on a final design/ name for my studio, "Shiro Oni". Its part of a collective idea for a group of foreigners doing interesting things in japan. especially the ones who, over long term residency, have come to terms with always being "shiro oni"s in a social sense: i.e. always on the social fringe, but with a certain strength (the traditional oni with giant muscles and wooden bat) that empowers them within that foreign role.
Jamie Dwyer's Shiro Oni space is Takimoto Guesthouse,
On my front I plan to expand my Shiro Oni studio to become an art residency and possibly a name for beer. before any of that i need to focus on making the studio part of the project able to generate enough income to support its own existance.

I've started painting the sign and am cleaning up the front of the building. However I've been quite ill lately so progress will be slow until i recover.
This will be a 12 foot x 3 1/2 foot sign on the front of the studio. It reads:Kjell Hahn's Shiro OniStudio, Ceramics Classroom, Art Residency
