its been two weeks since the earthquake. finally the tremors have quieted down. whereas last week we couldnt get many things from the supermarket, this week with reports of radiation in the food and water, we have surpluses of milk and vegetables. i find the untouched food even more disturbing than the previous panic to buy up everything.

people are trying to go about their lives here but there is a cumulative toll from the stresses of the disaster that gives an overall feeling of unease.

most of my english and ceramic classes have stopped so ive been in the studio, but finding it hard to concentrate on new work.
